+2 Apply for a Tenancy

If you wish to proceed and meet the tenant criteria specified below, to start the referencing process we take some details and obtain proof of identification and current address.  The application can be done completely online or via telephone.  References may also be required.  At this stage a registration fee is payable, 50% of which is refundable if your application is unsuccessful following referencing

Letting_Process_Confirm_Agreement_Mobile

+3 Confirm your Tenancy

If your application is successful and you still wish to proceed, we will prepare a tenancy agreement for electronic signature and agree a payment schedule by BACS only. For tenants without a British bank account we can arrange alternative means of payment

Letting_Process_Move_In

+4 Move In

Once everything is signed and payments cleared we arrange a move in date. On the day we will be there to hand over keys, ensure you have a copy of your agreement and provide a welcome pack that covers how the tenancy will be managed and what to do in the unlikely event of any problems with the property. From then on we are on standby should you have any questions

Your and Your Home's Safety

The highest priority is placed on the safety of your home to ensure your and our peace of mind. To preserve your safety and our reputation as responsible agents, stringent checks are regularly undertaken on each property’s gas and electrical supplies using our network of reliable and insured tradespeople, to guarantee they meet the latest safety standards. We also apply the same quality standards to any maintenance activity that may be required during the tenancy

Any furniture supplied with the property will meet current fire regulations and our online fault reporting system means problems with the property can easily and quickly be addressed. We wouldn’t want to live in an unsafe property and we don’t expect any of our tenants to either. Limelight is proud of its commitment to tenant and property safety and copies of all safety test documentation are supplied in the property’s welcome folder for your reference

We take great care to ensure the safety of our tenants’ deposits. We are members of the government-authorised Deposit Protection Service (DPS), one of the largest suppliers of deposit protection in the UK who work only with regulated agents

Your deposit is held by the DPS and at the end of the tenancy returned to you less any reasonable deductions necessary to return the property to its pre-let condition
